TJC Overview

TJC, another VGL subsidiary, was established in London, UK in 2006 and broadcasts live to 25 million homes in the UK. The company’s e-commerce presence is supported by the website TJC. TJC ships approximately 12,000 products daily to UK customers and employs around 220 people in London, with extended teams in India.

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Loss Prevention Officer to join our Security Department team. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, team members, and property. You will also be responsible for complying with all legislated and company safety, environmental rules, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to all emergency conditions, including safety hazards, fire, threats to life or property, etc.
• Conduct enforcement and protective duties to ensure guests and team members' safety and the security of the property.
• Monitor public areas for potential threats and identify potential thieves or vandals among staff or patrons.
• Investigate and resolve issues, creating reports for management on security status.
• Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.
• Recruit, train, and supervise security officers and guards.
• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
• In some instances, monitor displays or changing rooms, both of which can provide additional opportunities to steal merchandise.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a loss prevention or security- related field.
• Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with security and loss prevention equipment.
• Knowledge of legislated and company safety and environmental rules and regulations.
