Job Purpose

Overall review of budgeting and cost control of all the EPC Highway Projects.

Responsible for providing quantity survey, cost management, tendering, contract management and project budgeting.

Key Performance Indicators

Pre Contract :

  • To prepare budgets for various design stages


pricing of design alternatives, life cycle cost analyses, cash flows and financial forecasts

  • To work out quantities from the set of design documents and provide estimated cost
  • To prepare estimates, budgets and cost reports
  • To prepare BOQ including writing item descriptions and specifications based on the tender drawing and quantity calculations.
  • To prepare tender documents / RFP along with contract conditions and payment terms for works and consultant contracts.
  • To review bids and prepare comparatives for tender negotiations.
  • To derive item rates and prepare rate analysis for all the tender items.
  • Provide support in negotiating contracts
  • To set up and manage cost control systems in core team and on sites
  • To advise on contract related correspondence

Post Contract :

  • Contract management by developing and implementing the project cost control systems for variations, contract revisions, bill verifications and certifications, contract close outs, claim analysis, audit etc
  • To prepare cost reports, cash flow projections financial forecasts
  • Prepare, review and track budget variations
  • Change Order Management, to carryout out change order evaluation, approve variations by verifying the supporting documentation
  • Verify the site certified contractor’s bill for its correctness, compliance with contract conditions and budget limits and recommend it for the payment
  • To review / prepare interim valuations and final accounts

Education Qualifications

  • B.Tech ( Civil)
  • Graduate Diploma in Mangement Studies
