Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be a specialist in Engineering tools implementation, integrations, maintenance and support, with a focus on Windchill, Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The role requires expertise in leveraging REST APIs and middleware solutions like Mulesoft to achieve seamless tool integration. A strong understanding of business processes and workflows is essential, as this role will ensure that systems are designed to optimize and align with organizational goals and business processes. In addition to the above, a strong understanding of change management & control, as well as interchangeability concepts in engineering is essential.

This role is contributing to the Motion Large Motors & Generators Division in Vadodara, India.

The Large Motors and Generators Division offers a comprehensive product portfolio of large AC motors and generators. The Division’s induction, synchronous and special design motors and synchronous generators power critical applications across industry, infrastructure and marine transportation. Your role and responsibilities

This role is contributing to the Motion Large Motors & Generators Division in Vadodara, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Administer and maintain engineering tools, including Windchill & Teamcenter PLM.
- Evaluate, implement, and upgrade engineering software tools as required
- Implement (and potentially even design) integrations between engineering tools and enterprise systems using REST APIs or Mulesoft middleware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements and ensure successful implementation.
- Analyze (and document) existing business processes and workflows and conduct fit gap analysis to understand requirements for further tailoring of global solutions to local needs.
- Implement workflows in engineering tools to enhance productivity and compliance. Develop additional workflows for local solutions.
- Work closely with engineering, IT (i.e. PLM community), and business teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to stakeholders during implementation and post-deployment phases.
- o Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, or IT.
- o 5-10 years of experience in Engineering tool design and management.
- o Strong skills in Developer/Data Architecture and Platform technologies.
- o Proficiency with Citrix and SQL Server.
- o Experience with application syntax (Pascal, SQL) and logic development.
- o Expertise in Auto LISP programming and Common LISP programming.
- o Knowledge of Microsoft COM Automation/ActiveX & REST APIs or Mulesoft middleware.
- o Experience with ITK, C++, and Java Plugin customization and deployment in RAC and AWC environments.
