Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is a program we offer our sellers to outsource their order fulfillment to Amazon. The FBA Learning and Development (L&D) team empowers and enables our employees who support this program. We execute our learning and development strategy for new hires and existing associates, including leadership. We ensure our employees have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellence daily.

We are seeking an experienced Training Specialist with extensive research, project management, and adult education experience. You use knowledge and skill to decide which actions to take to meet goals. You may design short-term solutions. You need to deliver with limited guidance. You can effectively prioritize competing projects, making trade-offs between depth and delivery as needed. You have experience working with clients or internal partners to move projects forward and remove roadblocks while maintaining a high level of professional communication. You are a critical thinker who steps into your audience’s shoes to make content engaging and easy to follow. You have an iterative mindset and bring new ideas to the table to improve training delivery and internal workflows. You must have a passion for relationship-building, as well as data efficiency and accuracy.

The person should be an innovative, results driven professional with solid people skills and a strong problem-solving capability. The individual will be responsible for driving global strategy and initiatives. Would work with key business partners and stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities. The key to success in this role is the ability to understand the vision and make independent decisions with sound judgment to attain that vision. This individual should also be viewed as a change manager who has the ability to build right mechanisms to support any organizational change and influence teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Works across stakeholder teams on multiple training problems
  • Provide associates with learning experiences that will enable them to make faster decisions with zero defects
  • Lead mid-scale training populations, multiple client team managers, training partner teams, and stakeholder relationships
  • Work closely with the global program owners to design and deploy L&D strategies
  • Research pain points and improvement opportunities using qualitative and quantitative data to form design
  • Identify learning needs mapped to business outcomes by partnering with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other key stakeholders
  • Manages the delivery and/or design of Leadership Skill Development
  • Manage and coordinate multiple learning deliverables for L&D team
  • Apply adult learning principles to design learner-centered, performance-based solutions, using multiple modalities
  • Consistently demonstrates timely delivery of projects on roadmap to support the team and department vision
  • Helps recruiting efforts
  • Mentor junior training specialists

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 + years relevant experience in learning and development role
  • 4+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • Experience designing and developing interactive training materials in multiple modalities, including ILT, e-learning, video, and/or job aids
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate information clearly and facilitate learning solutions for diverse audiences
  • Excellent proficiency
  • Experience working with a globally distributed team to achieve shared objectives
  • Experience leading large, fast-moving projects, working with various internal teams to collect requirements, negotiate trade-offs, and evaluate impact
  • Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
