Job Description
As an Officer in the Supply Chain Management (SCM. department, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the company's supply chain operations. This includes planning, organizing, and managing the flow of goods from suppliers to customers. The role requires a deep understanding of shipping and freight forwarding, warehouse management, material movement management, and logistics planning. The candidate will also need to be proficient in ERP systems and have a strong knowledge of shipping law and material handling technology & equipment.
Principal Accountabilities
Oversee and manage the entire supply chain process, from procurement of raw materials to the delivery of finished goods.
Ensure compliance with shipping laws and regulations.
Implement and manage warehouse and inventory control systems.
Coordinate and manage the movement of materials and goods, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics.
Utilize ERP systems to streamline and optimize supply chain operations.
Develop and implement logistics planning strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
Ensure adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards in all aspects of the supply chain.
Analyze and troubleshoot supply chain problems to identify and implement solutions.
Lead with vision and customer focus, managing resources effectively and encouraging interdependencies within the team.
Demonstrate a commitment to the organization and a problem-solving mindset.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of API and ISO standards for pipe manufacturing and apply this knowledge to operations and QA/QC processes.
Use analytical thinking and process orientation to improve and optimize supply chain operations.
The ideal candidate will have a global mindset, strong business and commercial acumen, and demonstrate entrepreneurship. They will also be a functional expert in operation and QA/QC for the Pipe Industry.
