Job Summary

As a Senior Product Manager at Lowes the associate will be responsible for overseeing the development and success of the portfolio of the products from

conceptulisation to launch & beyond. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, leadership, and deep technical and retail understanding. You will drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch. Your primary goal will be to translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business needs and business goals. You will also help in setting up the key processes required within EPA for the product assessment and help in bringing in overall improvements over the product management practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ability to set up the Product NorthStar vision for the technology products under EPA
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely teams to develop a scalable multi-model, insights and data-first forecasting platform. Partner with data science teams to integrate advanced forecasting algorithms that improve accuracy and adapt to real-time changes in demand.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze forecast accuracy data and business specific insights to identify trends, issues, and opportunities, providing data-backed recommendations for product growth.
  • Prioritize business outcomes: Create Value Driven roadmaps ans track using the KPIs
  • Product Development: Lead product initiatives from concept through launch, working Engineers to launch business impacting solutions. Oversee all phases of product development—from ideation, prototyping, and MVP to launch and iteration. Translate high-level business goals into specific product requirements and features that meet the needs of stakeholders.
  • Explore future trends: Stay informed about future trends such on engineering and and omni-channel retail demands.
  • Evaluate new features and integrations: Look for opportunities to integrate third-party tools, data sources, or advanced analytical capabilities to improve forecasting accuracy and add value.
  • Customer feedback and validation: Continuously gather input from users (e.g. demand planning managers, inventory managers, IRP leaders) to ensure the platform solves their challenges.
  • Focus on explainability, support, and adoption: Ensure that explainability is part of the platform so that business partners are able to understand why the forecasting platform's output is a certain way. Produce user training documents for education, support, and adoption of the platform.
  • Drive product adoption: Develop strategies to drive the adoption of the forecasting platform across different retail functions and stores, providing value through improved decision-making.
  • Communicate with leadership and business teams: Present product progress, roadmaps, and outcomes to executive teams and incorporate their feedback into strategic planning.

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must Have)

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of product development for machine learning product. Proficiency in understanding statistical methods, data analysis, and their application to forecasting, such as correlation, seasonality, and trends.
  • Analytical Skills: Familiarity with metrics for evaluating model performance (e.g., WAPE, BIAS, MAPE, MAE) and an understanding of overfitting, underfitting, and model tuning.
  • Experiecne in creating the org level OKRs and building the product assessment frameowrks to measure the impact of the products within the platforms
  • Proven track record in moving the maturity of the products
  • Proven Track Record: Proven experience in defining product vision, developing roadmaps, and prioritizing features aligned with business goals for forecasting products and ML based products.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaboration: The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, understand their requirements, and help translate business problems into product outcomes and model outputs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Agile Mindset: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
