NetApp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our BlueXP software and application development team. BlueXP is our unified console and API namespace that offers a seamless experience across all our storage and data solutions. It is a unified control plane that provides global visibility and operational simplicity of storage and data services across on-premises and cloud environments. This is a great opportunity to work on a high-powered team delivering an industry changing product within an extremely high growth sector of the tech industry.

Job Summary

As a Seasoned Software Engineer (MTS 5), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud architectures that span multiple cloud providers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our cloud infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-effective. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor other engineers.

An ideal candidate for this position will be driven to produce results, collaborative, curious and creative. Candidate strives to excel in their day-to-day work and will continue to deliver high-quality results without anyone looking over their shoulders. They will bring broad experience across multiple domains including cloud technologies, operating systems, storage technologies and distributed systems.

Job Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in NodeJS, Scala / GO lang with understanding of OOPS, as well as a scripting language (Python/Shell script).
  • Working experience with REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with docker, Kubernetes with any hyperscaler (AWS / AZURE / GCP)
  • Experience in working on Linux platform is required.
  • Storage background and understanding of network topologies is a plus.

  • Exposure to MySQL
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Creative and analytical approach to problem solving.


Essential Functions

  • Design and implement multi-cloud architectures that meet business requirements for scalability, reliability, and security. Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and documentation.
  • A major part of your responsibility will be to apply current skills and use up-to-date technologies to complete projects as part of the development cycle including Coding, design, Development, Debugging, Reliability & Analysis.
  • As a subject matter expert, you will participate in design, technical discussions where, evaluating and executing design and development plans for products are reviewed.
  • Participate in all phases of product development cycle: from component definition and design, through implementation, debugging & testing.
  • Scope, plan, execute and track SDL for complex, less-defined product releases, execute and Analyse the results of the various security activities and tools independently and ensure program milestones and objectives are met.


Education

  • A minimum of 12+ years of experience is required. 13 to 16 years of experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or a Master Degree, or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks.
  • Familiarity with concepts of computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices.
