Senior HW/Electronics Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior HW/Electronics Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Senior HW/Electronics Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

• Design complex schematics involving advanced MCUs
• Integrate complex wireless solutions (e.g., custom BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRaWAN)
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness
• Select components considering lifecycle, obsolescence, and supply chain risks
• Collaborates with mechanical engineers for enclosure and thermal considerations
• Collaborates with software engineers on hardware-software integration
• Writes firmware code to exercise various hardware features and stress-test components
• Provide post-production support
• Evaluates new components and technologies for potential integration
• Applying state-of-the-art embedded systems design to solve business problems
• Performing research and developing proof of concept prototypes

Requirements:

• Ability to think in an analytic and structured way
• S/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5 years of experience with embedded design
• Experience with Altium Designer
• Knowledge of ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4, alternatively ESP32 architecture
• Experience with MCU peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, DAC, timers, etc.)
• Knowledge of wireless technologies, preferably BLE
• Knowledge of best practices of PCB design, including EMC standards
• Hands-on experience with measurement devices like oscilloscopes, logical analyzers and multimeters
• Experience with low-power design
• Experience with soldering
• Ability to mentor junior and intern teammates
• Strong English language
• Strong technical documentation writing skills
• Ability to document properly systems functionality
• Good presentational and visualization skills. Ability to describe and present results clearly, answer questions and communicate issues

Desirable:

• Experience working closely with client representatives to achieve business outcomes
• General working knowledge of agile methodologies
