Job Summary

The Security Incharge is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the hospitals premises, patients, staff, visitors, and assets. This includes overseeing the hospitals security team, implementing security policies, conducting risk assessments, managing emergency situations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Operations :
• Manage the daily security operations within the hospital premises, ensuring 24/7 security coverage.
• Supervise and train security personnel, including assigning duties, shift scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) and coordinate regular security patrols in critical areas.
• Access Control :
• Implement and monitor access control systems for staff, patients, visitors, and vendors.
• Manage the issuance of access cards and oversee visitor management protocols.
• Prevent unauthorized access to sensitive areas such as ICUs, emergency rooms, and medical records.
• Emergency Management :
• Develop and implement emergency response plans (fire, medical emergencies, evacuations, etc.).
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire services, and emergency medical teams when needed.
• Lead security teams during emergency situations, ensuring safe and orderly evacuation.
• Risk Assessment and Compliance :
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in the hospitals security system.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare security regulations and standards.
• Maintain records of incidents, security audits, and follow-up actions.
• Incident Management :
• Investigate and report security breaches, thefts, and incidents of violence or misconduct.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of incidents to hospital administration and relevant authorities.
• Implement corrective actions to prevent future security issues.
• Liaison and Coordination :
• Collaborate with hospital departments, including HR and facilities management, to support security needs.
• Coordinate with external security agencies or law enforcement as required.
• Organize security drills and awareness programs for hospital staff.
• Asset Protection :
• Implement measures to protect hospital assets, including medical equipment, medicines, and infrastructure.
• Oversee the security of parking lots, entrances, and other high-traffic areas.
