- Contact Debtors: Proactively communicate with individuals or businesses via phone, email, or written correspondence to recover outstanding debts.
- Negotiate Payment Plans: Collaborate with debtors to establish feasible repayment plans beneficial to both parties.
- Maintain Records: Accurately document all debtor interactions and update account statuses in the system for effective tracking.
- Resolve Disputes: Investigate and address disputes or complaints regarding debts, ensuring clarity and accurate resolution.
- Educate Clients: Clearly explain debt obligations and the implications of non-payment in a respectful manner.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with team members and departments to optimize collection strategies and enhance performance.
- Ensure Compliance: Follow all legal and ethical standards in debt collection practices.
- Meet Targets: Achieve or exceed individual and team collection goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in finance, business, or a related field is an advantage.
- Experience: Prior experience in collections, customer service, or sales is preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Effective problem-solving with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in collections software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle challenging conversations empathetically and professionally.
