Regional Accounting Leader

The Regional Accounting Leader (RAL) is the member of divisional accounting team responsible to lead the accounting process to depict the true and fair view of business, building in effective control environment, reviews the books, monthly HFM reporting. The RAL is also responsible for entity statutory reporting, handling limited reviews and statutory audits, maintaining the unqualified report, attending to open internal audit issues etc.

Principal Accountabilities

Local reporting

  • Responsible for quarterly limited reviews and annual audits under local statutory reporting and other compliance on listed entity requirements.
  • Anticipate and communicate the impact of accounting and regulatory changes to the leadership team.
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement of financial systems and processes, directing team members on key projects such digitization and automation
  • Prepare reports for the group/ board meetings as required.

Group reporting

  • Responsible for monthly book closure, ensure all entries are passed, PL review and variances etc .
  • Ensure HFM loading is completed within stipulated deadlines every month with all validations cleared
  • Responsible for smooth completion of group audits, notes and related disclosures.
  • Responsible for managing internal audits of group and for entity
  • Responsible for risk management, compliance and internal control framework.
  • Responsible for half-yearly RCM self assessments of the entity.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the ZF divisional and cross functional teams including GSSO and ensuring timely communication and feedback of significant or complex accounting topics.
  • Providing support to the Business Finance Team where need be.
  • Drive GL Improvement projects for reducing manual efforts and optimizing operational efficiencies.
  • Compliance to revenue recognition principles, Indian accounting policies and corporate policies.
  • Effective implementation of process and accounting of new accounting standards rolled out as per the timelines.
  • Effective MIS to identify and induce actions with regard to any deviations.
