About The Role
As the University Talent Acquisition Manager for the APAC region, you will play a key role in shaping and driving scalable university hiring programs to attract top-tier diverse talent for Uber. Reporting to the Director of Global University Talent Acquisition, you will lead a team of recruiters, TC & PM, and execute initiatives that enhance Uber's presence within the student community across diverse business lines and multiple countries.
This role offers the opportunity to build strong internal partnerships, establish robust employer branding, and implement talent engagement strategies that align with global best practices. You'll also have the chance to innovate and adapt programs to regional needs while contributing to a collaborative Talent Acquisition Leadership Team in APAC.

What You'll Do
- Lead the APAC University Talent Acquisition (UTA) Strategy: Drive strategic discussions with leadership on headcount planning, sourcing strategies, and key engagement initiatives across a diverse region, including India the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, and Australia.
- Execute Internship & Graduate Programs: Design, plan, and execute impactful university hiring programs to meet regional talent needs while fostering a pipeline of diverse, future-ready talent for technical & non-technical hiring.
- Advise and Align with Business Goals: Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, leveraging market insights and innovative hiring practices to achieve hiring targets for interns and full-time hires.
- Enhance Talent Pipeline Health: Monitor and manage pipeline performance to meet key recruiting metrics while optimizing processes to ensure efficiency and inclusivity.
- Deliver Market Intelligence: Report on recruiting metrics, competitor insights, and market trends to evolve practices and strengthen Uber's position as an employer of choice.
- Champion University Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with top universities globally and leverage knowledge of curricula and industry best practices to align hiring strategies.
- Foster Global Collaboration: Partner with the global University TA team to drive alignment, share best practices, and maintain consistency across regions.
- Innovate and Optimize: Use design thinking to refine and enhance university hiring processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and inclusivity.
- Implement Engaging Intern Programs: Design and execute broad-based internship programming tied to Uber's core values, strategic priorities, and survey insights.
- 8+ years of corporate experience
- 3+ years of proven experience in recruiting related functions: recruiting, sourcing, recruiting coordination, or program management in India / APAC
- 3+ years of managing a team
- University recruiting experience, higher education, or career services experience
- 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
- Technically savvy, with iCIMS, or other ATS experience preferred
