Key Responsibilities

  • Partner Onboarding & Risk Management:
  • Onboard new marketplace partners, conducting third-party risk management screenings to verify the legal and operational integrity of partners and their apps.
  • App Compliance & Quality Assurance:
  • Validate compliance of apps with marketplace branding and publishing requirements, including logo usage, app naming, messaging, and adherence to branding guidelines. Conduct technical reviews of marketplace apps to ensure compatibility and functionality with platform products.
  • User Documentation & Experience:
  • Ensure that the End User License Agreement (EULA) and partner support information are available for customers on the marketplace listing, and ensure product documentation is clear, concise, and supports a positive user experience.
  • App Functionality & Usability:
  • Conduct in-depth technical reviews of apps to assess functionality and usability, ensuring that the app meets quality standards and is fully compatible with platform products. Work with app developers to resolve issues related to app quality, functionality, and performance.
  • Operational Support & Security:
  • Offer operational assistance to programs running on the marketplace. Ensure app security checks and vulnerability scans are performed to reduce risks and prevent critical issues for end-users.
  • Compliance Monitoring & Violations Program:
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with the marketplace partner agreement, branding guidelines, and terms of service. Address any violations of marketplace policies and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Customer Feedback & Reviews Management:
  • Ensure that customer reviews comply with standard guidelines and provide valuable insights into the user experience. Monitor and report on partner feedback, ensuring it is communicated effectively to the relevant teams for action.
  • Metrics Reporting & Automation:
  • Monitor and report on key metrics related to app reviews, partner performance, and other initiatives. Implement process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency, ensuring high standards of compliance and app quality.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Lead small, high-performing teams to support marketplace operations, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellent customer service. Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to align on goals and initiatives.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Experience:
  • 8-12 years of experience in marketplace operations, partner management, or app compliance, with a focus on app functionality, quality assurance, and security. Experience leading small teams and working in a cross-functional environment is a plus.
  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably software) or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Software Testing & Automation:
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, with experience reviewing applications for functionality, performance, usability, and overall quality. Proficient in running and building automation test suites (preferably in Python).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Solid knowledge of REST APIs and the ability to write and execute ad-hoc scripts. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GIT, SVN) and UNIX systems/networking/DNS concepts.
  • Marketplace App Review Process:
  • In-depth understanding of app review processes, branding guidelines, and app listing compliance standards. Experience in standardizing practices and implementing efficiencies through SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Reporting & Dashboards:
  • Experience in developing and maintaining reporting dashboards (e.g., using Jira or other project management tools) to monitor app performance, compliance, and metrics.
  • Problem Solving & Critical Thinking:
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, think critically, and provide innovative solutions to improve app quality, partner experience, and operational processes.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, app vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Time Management & Organization:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Passion for Technology:
  • A strong passion for technology, software development, and app management. Keen interest in staying updated with the latest trends in app development and marketplace operations.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

  • Exposure to B2B marketplaces and app listing/management processes.
  • Experience with implementing app security programs and conducting vulnerability assessments.
  • Familiarity with agile project management principles and methodologies.
