Job Summary

MX Technology, Inc. is a dynamic and rapidly growing financial company committed to helping to empower the world to be financially strong. Our team is passionate about driving innovation and achieving excellence in everything we do.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with a passion for enhancing developer productivity and operational efficiency. In this role, you will own the end-to-end product strategy, vision, and roadmap for internal tools that support engineering teams. Your mission will be to develop highly effective solutions that reduce friction, streamline workflows, and elevate developer productivity, enabling teams to deliver high-quality products faster and more efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for internal developer tools to enhance productivity, reduce operational complexity, and improve cross-team efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with engineering, DevOps, and QA teams to understand pain points, gather requirements, and develop solutions that align with their needs and company objectives.
  • Requirements & Prioritization: Translate complex technical and business requirements into clear product specifications and prioritize features based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with overall goals.
  • Market & User Research: Conduct regular market and user research to stay ahead of trends in developer tooling, automation, and productivity enhancements.
  • Roadmap Management: Work with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and continuously improve the product roadmap, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for developer productivity, efficiency, and adoption rates to track the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Advocate for User Experience: Champion best practices for usability and efficiency, creating tools that developers enjoy using and that enhance overall operational quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify, prioritize, and execute improvements to existing tools based on user feedback, analytics, and changing business needs.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8-12 years of product management experience with at least 5+ years focused on developer tools, productivity solutions, or internal tools in a high-growth or technology-driven company.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of software development processes, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and developer workflows. Hands-on experience in a technical role (e.g., engineering, DevOps) is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to leverage data to make informed product decisions, including conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify opportunities for productivity improvement.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority across engineering, design, and executive teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with experience in identifying solutions that address root causes and deliver long-term value.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile frameworks and experience in managing product backlogs, sprint planning, and iterative product development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading initiatives for internal tooling and/or developer productivity in a product management capacity.
  • Developer Advocacy: Strong sense of empathy for developers and a proactive approach to minimizing friction in the development process.
  • Metrics-Driven Mindset: Knowledge of KPIs for developer productivity and experience implementing improvements that drive measurable gains.

At MX, we seek to hire candidates who drive results and achieve successful outcomes. We utilize a hybrid work arrangement style, which may require both local and remote team members to be in the office when necessary, to kick off projects, hold cross team strategy meetings, or complete key deliverables. Remote team members will travel into the office four times per year, and MX covers travel expenses associated with this requirement. Both local and remote employees can take advantage of our incredible office space with onsite perks, company-paid meals, onsite massage therapists, sports simulator, gym, mother’s lounge, and meditation room.

MX is proudly committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse and inclusive workforce. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we never discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, military or veteran status, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. We particularly welcome applications from veterans and military spouses. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
