- Manage process for setting sell in/sell through prices in consultation (Including template preparation, grant approval, system price update & proper documentation for audit trail) with Marketing, Product & Sales.
- Periodic review of the sell in prices to achieve consistent and optimum prices in the market place in order to achieve SKU wise gross margins and SKU wise sell in prices that reflect product and size positioning in line with the pricing strategy
- Periodically update/ validate competitor price database communicated by Sales for price benchmark analysis of replacement market.
- Periodically track the competitor prices by SKU through the utilization of GFK data and other publicly available price intelligence.
- Lead the setting of price benchmarks with the relevant competitor brands and patterns by SKU in order to ensure that the pricing benchmark is consistent vis a vis identified competitors.
- Drive the continuous update of Regular Pricing Tracking
- Responsible to prepare all new pricing & program proposal within pricing/margin guidelines and appropriate approvals are gathered and recommendation for price adjustments to deliver the targets (ad-hoc/monthly/quarterly programs)
- Monthly tracking of program effectiveness
- Understand distributors' and retailer's business models to identify channel margin and working capital requirements and tailor Goodyear's commercial policies and programs that best meets customer requirements while optimizing Goodyear's investments into the different areas of pricing & promotions
- Lead the price setting of new product in the PCP process, in line with the pricing strategy of the product portfolio, with competitive benchmark considered
- Ensure robust price development throughout the gate process until launch
- 12+ years experience in either Product, Marketing or Sales management, at a strategic level.
- ERP systems knowledge (particularly SAP) a plus
- Experience in consumer products and/or B2B environments
