Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our pre-cast construction company. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with our project team to assist in cost estimation, project budgeting, and quantity assessment for pre-cast construction projects. Key Responsibilities

• Quantity Assessment: Assist in accurately measuring and assessing the quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for pre-cast construction projects.
• Cost Estimation: Collaborate with senior quantity surveyors to prepare accurate cost estimates, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, and overhead expenses.
• Project Budgeting: Contribute to the development and maintenance of project budgets by providing accurate quantity and cost data to support informed decision-making.
• Tender Analysis: Participate in the analysis of tender documents, drawings, and specifications to provide insights into the costs associated with potential projects.
• Vendor and Supplier Communication: Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing information for construction materials and equipment.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of quantity assessments, cost estimates, and project budgets using appropriate software tools.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that quantity and cost information aligns with project requirements and objectives.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to gather information and assess progress, ensuring that quantity assessments and cost estimates are aligned with on-site conditions.
• Change Order Management: Assist in evaluating change orders and variations to determine their impact on project budgets and schedules.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on quantity assessment, cost estimation, and project budget status for review by senior management.
  
  

Qualifications And Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and processes, particularly in pre-cast construction.
• Proficiency in quantity assessment techniques and cost estimation methods.
• Familiarity with construction industry standards, regulations, and codes.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using relevant software tools, such as Excel, cost estimating software, and project management tools.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and suppliers.
