Our client is one of the leading players in the Pipes and Fittings manufacturing industry. They are looking to hire a leader for the position of "Head of Operations" who will be based out of Pune.
Job Description
- Lead overall administration of the site and drives achievement of production volumes and turnover as per defined targets
- Own the preparation of annual production plan in collaboration with the PPC team and oversees execution of the same within timelines
- Drive cost savings in the areas of process, operating expenditure and equipment maintenance spending to minimize downtime and enhance productivity and utilisation, utility consumption and effective resource utilisation
- Contribute to the development of overall organizational and people strategy and annual plan by providing inputs on production plans, workforce requirements, potential risks, and opportunities for the site
- Develop the budget for production operating expenditure with purchase and costing team
- Drive manufacturing, planning and processes to deliver on budgeted price and volume at quality benchmarks
- Govern the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies to automate and modernize the manufacturing processes in close collaboration with the CIO
- Lead capacity expansion and other transformation projects for the site along with Design and Development teams and ensures achievement of desired objectives
- Ensure 'zero incident' on health and safety guidelines and strict compliance on overall EHS guidelines at the site
- Cascade and govern, performance objectives of the management team and regularly reviews performance of the team
- Educational background - Engineering + MBA (Desirable)
- Should come with at least 15yrs+ of work experience with strong exposure working in the pipes and fittings industry.
- Should come with experience of managing end to end factory operations
- Should come with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
