Global Category Buyer – Your future position?

Overall Mission

Develop and implement strategies (and related tactical plans) to source critical/complex RM categories, secure supply for those categories in line with business plan and to support fragrance Ingredients competitiveness on the market under supervision and guidance of the Segment BP.

Core Responsibilities

Sourcing Strategy

• Manage the category in alignment with the 2025 procurement strategy
• Drive the development and implementation of RM category strategies
• Analyze market and implement risk management strategies for the portfolio
• Lead sourcing strategy development within cross functional team for key categories
• Drive sourcing strategy implementation by leading major RFQs and key negotiations
  
  

Portfolio Management

• Negotiate contracts globally
• Select, manage and audit suppliers
• Identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and actively involve creation and manufacturing in development of optimization plans
• Own key supplier relationship, and lead GBS escalated supplier conflict resolutions
• Communicate to suppliers any forthcoming changes in demand/specifications
• Ensure adequate contract cover for materials and supplier compliance to contracts
• Ensure vendor performance at target levels
  
  

Stakeholder Relationship

• Communicate to key internal stakeholders/Segment BP any market conditions changes which may affect the Business
• Actively support the responsible sourcing projects implementation & provide information to Procurement Sustainability Manager when needed
  
  

Cost Optimization

• Provide sufficient information for business planning process
• Develop cost reduction projects
• Provide price forecast and market trends for key commodities
  
  

Your professional profile includes:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Organic Chemistry is required
• 3-5 years' experience in Procurement and/or functional experience is required
• Has handled a portfolio of RMs and has experience of at least 3 years of negotiating contracts independently
• Knowledge of F&F/FMCG/Chemical industry
• Specific technical and market knowledge in the respective category
• International exposure in previous role
• Fluent in English, other languages a +
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Cultural awareness and adaptable to fast changing business requirements
