Engineer, Repairs Technical Support, SVSPROF Repairs

Introduction

The Professional Services (PSE) Business Line needs experienced and detail-oriented individuals to support the Global Repairs Network. Work Instruction and Inspection Guidance on the varied offerings from Metso are the primary focus of this position. We are looking for dedicated professionals who have a strong mechanical knowledge in the field of machining, welding, assembly, disassembly and test running to work closely with the Global Product Line Teams to drive the enablement and support to our global repair service centers.

This position is mainly located in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. The position will be an Engineer, a global position and will be reporting to Director, Repairs Technical Support, SVSPROF Repairs.

Team you belong to

The position is Engineer, Repairs, Technical Support, will be part of the PSE SVS Engineering Support based in Vadodara, Gujarat. This role will be supporting multiple projects across the whole of the Metso product offerings. The successful candidate must be proactive and able to demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as a team orientated environment. Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

What You’ll Do

• Business engagement to improve governance, Work in close collaboration with Engineering Product line.
• Basic design calculations.
• Compile manufacturing specifications and data sheets for product offerings.
• Aid in preparation of quality plans and equipment ITPs.
• Understanding basic process design calculations.
• Material specification comparisons across global materials and services.
• Prepare required media to support the Metso service centers.
• Technical evaluation of supplier proposals.
  
  
  

Who You Are

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering discipline with significant experience (5+ years) in field of heavy equipment repair from reputed minning engineering companies would be preferred.

Technical Competencies:

• Expertise in 2D & 3D drafting and GD&T.
• Quality & On time delivery mindset
• Knowledge of international codes and standards.
• Prior experience with machining, welding, heavy equipment assembly and disassembly would be an advantage.
• Competent problem solver with sound understanding of engineering principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, and externally with end users.
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours when necessary to achieve objectives.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing techniques, including fabrication, casting, forging, machining, welding etc.
