Position Summary...

Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy. Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director Finance , to lead one of the verticals (Sam’s Club) of our Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE)

We as the finance organization in the Company are responsible for accounting, tax compliances, budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting the results. What you'll do:
Strategic Leadership: Implement the strategic roadmap for the Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) aligned with Walmart’s Finance strategy and transformational goals. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the finance function is an enabler of strategic decision-making.
Process Optimization: Lead efforts to streamline financial processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency within the finance organization. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Manage the FP&A CoE for Sam’s Club by Overseeing key components of reporting of financial results, financial planning, forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with company and segment objectives. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.
Technology Integration: Collaborate with Walmart Technology, Enterprise Business Services, and other stakeholders to leverage technology solutions for finance functions, including the implementation and optimization of financial systems and transformational technology such as GenAI.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that financial operations are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Manage financial risks and take proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Sam’s Club Commercial Finance leadership team, build rapport, Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) objectives & functional priorities.
Change Management: Lead change initiatives within the Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) and provide guidance for associates during times of transformation.
Talent Management: Attract, mentor, and retain a high-performing team. Develop a culture of excellence and provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.

What you'll bring:
- 18+ years of relevant experience; CA degree/ MBA Finance preferred. Prior experience in managing the Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) is preferred.
- Experience in managing overall P&Ls and in working within matrixed organizations
- Proven track record of leading teams, driving process improvement, and implementing financial systems and processes
- Excellent Stakeholder Management skills, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams
- A strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategic and operational objectives into actionable plans
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills
- Should have a keen attention to detail, ability to adhere to deadlines, organizational skills, and analytical skills.
- Should have an aptitude for learning and adapting to new reporting tools and technologies.
- Should have the ability to prioritize and balance amongst multiple critical priorities.
