Design Engineer II

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex automation projects using DriveWorks Pro, from scoping to deployment.
• Develop and oversee implementation of high-level automation strategies and design standards as per product group requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in automation workflows, focusing on reducing time and increasing quality.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the entire DriveWorks team, including training and skill development.
• Research into new modules that could enhance automation capabilities.
• Implement and support in upgrading CAD Software and Automation Software. Integrating projects on the Autopilot servers, DriveWorks Live and SolidWorks/PDM.
  
  

Secondary Responsibilities

• Functional understanding of SAP Material Master(MM) and Variant Configurator (VC) usage or equivalent in other ERP/CPQ systems
  
  

Job Specification: Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with DriveWorks Pro, SolidWorks, and design automation.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Expertise in integrating DriveWorks with other business systems (ERP, PLM) is an advantage.
