Copywriter – Marketing creative (Hybrid)

The Cognizant global in-house marketing creative team concepts, builds and delivers marketing and advertising content for global internal and external messaging and campaigns.

The copywriter role at Cognizant requires mastery of the English language and the ability to write compelling copy across a range of subjects and content types.

As a Cognizant copywriter, you are a member of a global creative team and will be expected to closely collaborate with a wide variety of colleagues and stakeholders—across time zones—to produce on-brand concepts and content in support of client pitches and corporate marketing: Web pages, infographics, video scripts, emails, display ads, paid and organic social media, etc.

You MUST provide samples of writing and/or online portfolio to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

• Write and develop content internal and external marketing, advertising, sales enablement and deal pursuit deliverables
• Collaborate with creative directors, art directors, designers, other writers, brand strategists and research teams on projects large and small
• Think both strategically and creatively
• Implement constructive feedback to ensure content is accurate and on-message
• Understand and convey brand voice, tone and style for global audiences
• Engage in multiple projects simultaneously and be comfortable working within prescribed deadlines
  
  

Specific Skills And Qualifications

• 5 or more years of commercial writing experience, agency experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, advertising or related discipline preferred
• Ability to present your writing and sell your ideas to peers and stakeholders
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and commgunication skills
• Ability to work well with tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment
• Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
• Basic knowledge of, and competency with, generative AI concepts and tools
