Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate and optimize applications in the cloud.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support and ensure high availability of services.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as PCI-DSS, and SOC 2.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on GCP.
- Proven experience designing and architecting cloud solutions using GCP.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform in building and managing Google Cloud resources.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-native configuration management tools, such as Kubernetes Config Connector and Crossplane.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Shell, or similar languages.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Relevant certifications, such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), are a plus.
