Sanofi Business Services (SBS), one of the 4 pillars of Sanofi’s Business Transformation organization, is setting up a captive Business Services center in Budapest to provide Finance & Accounting (Account-to-Report, Customer-Invoicing-to-Cash) as well as Employee oriented (Employee Experience) services. With respect to Account to Report (A2R) the Business Services center will be covering the following areas of the process:

- GL Accounts Closing and Reporting

Main responsibilities:
- Operation: Deliver GL monthly closing & reporting services to SBS, Review interfaces that generate automatic postings to ensure that they have been correctly booked, AR & AP sub-ledgers are closed and close Balance Sheet and P&L accounts. Request & collect all recurring and non recurring items, reconcile accounts and post Manual Journal Entries (MJE). Prepare management, tax, legal and statutory reporting at Group and country levels. Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis.
- Contribute to business reviews. Execute in compliance of processes, transactions and reports with Sanofi accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements. Develop expert level knowledge of the activities in scope as well as local knowledge of entities in scope.
- Build, document and transfer A2R Core Model process knowledge (Level 6/7) relating to GL monthly closure and reporting activities.
- Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities.
- Participate in process automation initiatives and ensure seamless adoption and transition.
- Experience: Broad understanding of GL Accounting, monthly closure and reporting activities with :5 years of professional experience. Understanding of IFRS and local GAAPs
- Technical skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise of MS Excel. Desired but not mandatory: experience of SAP or any other accounting-related IT tools (e.g. Blackline)
- Soft skills: Team player, able to work collaboratively transversally and with A2R front line teams with an end-to-end mindset. Ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner. Organized and structured to execute tasks as per deadlines. Role model / coach to junior analysts. Good communication skills, attentive to customer needs and feedback.
- Education: Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor or equivalent)
- Languages: English fluent (written and oral)
- Working Hours: Be responsible for the period-end closing and reporting in accordance with Sanofi month end close schedule. The associate may need to work in different working hours during the month-end closing period for 5-7 days, depending on the region they support.
